Old Model JVC TV
Locate the System option on the Home screen and select it. Then, choose Settings and click on More. Now, select the Software Upgrade → Scan for Upgrade options. When the scanning is over, and an update is available, select Upgrade and install the latest software on your native OS JVC TV.
Alternate Method
If your JVC TV is an LCD/Blu-ray Disc Combo model, you can update its software using its latest installer file. Head to the firmware.jvc.com website on a PC and download the software file of your TV. Copy the saved software file into a USB drive. Then, extract it and burn it into a disc.
Now, press the Setup button on your remote and click BLU-RAY. Go to Device Manager and select Settings → Software Upgrade. Choose Disc Upgrade and insert your disc with the latest software file into the built-in disc slot of the JVC TV. The disc will start loading automatically and asks for installing the Insert Version file. Click Yes and Stay. You’ll get the Finish message indicating your Insignia TV is updated.
Updating your JVC TV software is easy and takes only a few minutes. I hope this guide will help you update your TV to keep it bug-free and function smoothly.
