How to Setup Panasonic TV For the First Time

If you just bought a brand new Panasonic Smart TV and need some guidance on its setup, you have come to the right place. This article will show you how to setup Panasonic TVs using different Operating Systems for the first time.

How to Setup Panasonic Smart TV (My Home Screen OS)

When you purchase a new Panasonic TV, the first thing to do is external installation of the TV using the tools provided with its package. Then, you can begin the configuration process. The following points will help to do it for Panasonic TVs using the native My Home Screen OS.

Install Panasonic TV

1. Unbox the TV and place it in a good location. Then, connect it to a power source using the given power cord.

2. If you want to use a wired internet connection, link the ethernet cable to your TV’s ethernet port.

3. If you want to access live channels on the TV, connect an antenna or cable to the TV’s ANT IN port using a coaxial cable. Then, proceed to the on-screen setup process.

On-screen Configuration

1. Switch On your Panasonic TV using the Power button on the TV unit or remote.

2. On the first screen, choose your preferred Language, and then select your Country on the next screen.

3. Now, choose your viewing mode/environment. Select Home if you are a regular user and Shop/Store if you are using the TV for retail purposes.

4. On the Network Connection screen, select the Quick Setup button. If you are using an Ethernet connection, the network configuration will be automatic.

5. For wireless Wi-Fi connection, click Quick Setup, and select your Wi-Fi network from the detected networks. Then, enter your Wi-Fi password (if required) to connect the Panasonic TV to WiFi.

8. The next step is to scan for channels. Select the Yes button to start scanning and wait for the scanning to complete.

How to Setup Panasonic TVs With Other Operating Systems

Android OS:

1. Start by selecting your Language and choose if you want to continue setup using a phone app. Then connect to your WiFi network and Sign in to your Google account or Skip.

2. Accept Terms of Service → Turn On Location and complete the walkthrough. Then, select your Country → Turn On the LCN switch and set up the Input Password.

3. Select TV Mode → Enable Chromecast and choose the Tuner Mode as Antenna or Cable. Then, Scan channels or Skip them, and finally, Finish the setup.

Google OS:

1. On the first screen, choose your Language → Select Region → Choose to Set up TV with the Google Home app or TV remote and connect to your WiFi. Then, Sign in and Accept the Terms of Service.

2. Accept the Google Services and complete the following prompts. Next, select Location (TV Mode – Home) → Agree to User Agreements and Allow Automatic Updates.

3. Pair your remote by following the on-screen instructions, select the Start exploring button to finish the setup, and enter the home screen.

Fire OS:

1. Start the setup by pairing your remote → Select Language → Connect WiFi and choose to complete the setup with the Fire TV app or TV remote.

2. Activate your TV/Sign in online or with a QR code. Enable Parental Controls if you wish and select the Apps you want to install.

3. Select the Finish → OK button on the welcome screen and select your profile icon to enter the home screen.
