Unboxing Samsung TV – What’s Included
If you have bought a new Samsung TV, you will receive a standard package with some required tools to set up the TV. The box consists of the following things,
- A Samsung Smart TV
- A Power cord
- A remote control
- 1 wall mount or 2 stand-top.
How to Set Up Samsung Smart TV for the First Time
If you have bought a new Samsung TV, follow the steps to set up your Samsung TV right after taking it out from package.
- Unbox your Samsung TV and safely install it in the desired location. Connect your Samsung TV to a Wifi or wired connection like an ethernet cable with a router or modem, cable or satellite boxes, gaming consoles, streaming devices, etc.
- Charge your remote using the battery or Type C cable. Then, plug the power cord of your TV into the power socket and turn on the switch.
- Once your Samsung TV turns on, pair the remote with it by pressing and holding the Return and Play/Pause buttons for a few seconds.
- After pairing the remote, choose the desired language and select the options between SmartThings App or Remote to set up Samsung TV.
Steps to Set Up Samsung TV With a Remote
If you have chosen the remote control option in the previous step, or coming back after resetting your Samsung smart TV, then use the remote and proceed with the following steps.
- Connect your Samsung TV to an active internet connection and then accept the SmartHub Terms and Conditions by clicking Agree to All.
- Now, a search will begin for the latest software, and your Samsung TV will update itself. If you are a new Samsung User, then create an account on the next step. If not, you can use the existing Samsung Account.
- Check out the additional features and agree to or skip them according to your wish. If you are an existing Samsung user, check the Backup data option and select Back up to retrieve the old data.
- Then, select any of the voice assistants among Bixby & Amazon Alexa. Log in to any of the pre-installed apps to access them. You can also install the apps on Samsung TV from the Smart Hub and start watching them.
Steps to Set Up Samsung Smart TV Without a Remote
If you have chosen the other option, the SmartThings app, refer to the steps below to set up the TV.
- After making the selection, scan the QR code on your TV screen using a mobile phone to open the app. If you don’t have the app, get it from the Play Store or the App Store and log in to set up your TV.
- Connect your Samsung TV and mobile to the same WIFI as the next step.
- Tap Start on the app, and it will start looking for your TV. Enter the code displayed on-screen and initiate pairing.
- After reading the terms and conditions, hit I agree to All button to accept it. You can also rename your Samsung TV according to your wish and select the Voice Assistant feature.
- If you have reset or upgraded to the latest Samsung TV, restore the old data and enter the country’s ZIP Code.
- Choose the applications you want to add and tap on Time Zone. Now, click on Start Watching TV → Allow buttons to use mobile as a remote.
