Ways to Locate MAC Address of Different LG Smart TV Models
You can find the MAC Address on your LG TV by navigating to two of the menu options: Network Settings and TV Information menu. The methods of navigating these options are explained below.
Note: Before beginning, make sure to connect your LG Smart TV to the Wi-Fi to access the MAC address.
Locate MAC Address Via Network Settings
There have been a lot of updates on LG TV webOS versions over the years. So the navigation paths and some of the options will vary on different webOS versions. Based on the year of your LG TV and its firmware versions, access the MAC address using one of these methods.
Latest LG Smart Models
- Turn On your LG Smart TV. Launch Settings by tapping the Gear icon on home screen or pressing the Settings button on your remote.
- Select the All Settings option and choose General → Network.
- On the Internet Connection screen, select Wi-Fi connection → Other Network Settings → Advanced Wi-Fi Settings and locate the MAC address.
Just like the above images, the interface will also look different based on the webOS versions. But the navigation path is the same on most of the latest LG TV models.
Other LG Smart TV Models
On most older LG Smart TV and webOS models, you can follow the below navigation path to access its MAC address.
- When you are on the TV’s home screen, press the Settings button on your remote to open a quick menu.
- Select the Network option on-screen and follow one of these steps based on the options available on your TV:
- Select Wi-Fi Connection → Advanced Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select Connection → Network Connection Settings → Wi-Fi Connection → Advanced Wi-Fi Settings.
- On the Advanced Wi-Fi Settings section, you can find the MAC address.
Locate MAC Address Via TV Information
Another way to access the MAC address on LG TV is by navigating to the TV Information option on the Settings menu. So, according to the options available on your TV’s settings, follow one of these navigation paths to locate MAC address.
- Open Settings and select General → About This TV → TV Information.
- Press the Settings button on your remote and select All Settings → Support TV → TV Information.
- Pull up the Settings menu and navigate to All Settings → General → Devices → TV Management → TV Information.
- Once you get to the TV Information section, you can locate the Wired & Wireless MAC Address.
Now, you will be able to access the MAC address of old or new model LG Smart TVs. However, remember that there are other webOS versions available, and the navigation paths will be slightly different. In such a case, all you have to do is select whatever option that will eventually lead you to the Advanced Wi-Fi Settings menu or the TV Information section.
