1. Once the soundbar is turned On, put it in Bluetooth mode by pressing the Input button on the soundbar’s remote. Or, click the F button on the device until you see BT on the display.

How to Connect Soundbar to LG Smart TV With Optical Cable

1. Start by connecting the optical cable to your LG TV’s Optical Digital Audio Out port and the soundbar’s Optical port.

Note: Ensure the shape of the optical cable (U-shape) matches the shape of the Optical port on the TV and soundbar. Suppose it doesn’t, don’t connect it.

2. Turn On the soundbar and press the F button on it. Or, click the Input button on the soundbar’s remote to change its input mode to OPT/H.

3. Now, hit the Settings button on your TV remote and navigate to the Sound Out menu.

4. Select Use Wired Speaker → Optical Out Device and finish the setup.

How to Connect Soundbar to LG Smart TV With HDMI Cable

1. Grab your HDMI cable and connect one end to the soundbar’s HDMI port and the other end to the TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port.

2. Tap the F button on the soundbar unit or the Input button on its remote until E-ARC appears on the display.

3. Now, go to the Sound Out settings menu on your LG TV and select Use Wired Speaker → HDMI (ARC) Device.

4. On LG TVs using WebOS 5.0, the navigation path to change the Sound Out option is different. You have to reach Settings → Sound → Sound Out → select the external audio device (soundbar). Then, change the Digital Audio Out option to Auto and the Simple Link option to On.

5. If your TV is using the 2020 WebOS 5.0 version, change the output speaker by navigating to Settings → All Settings → Sound → Sound Out, and select the output mode you want.
