Steps to Enable and Use AirPlay on Fire TV
Before proceeding further, connect your Fire TV to the WiFi and your Apple device to the same WiFi.
1. To begin with the process, you need to enable AirPlay Settings on your Fire TV. To do that, navigate to Settings → Display & Sounds → Apple AirPlay & Homekit → Turn On AirPlay.
2. After turning on the AirPlay feature, you will notice three options in the Required Code section. From that, you can choose any option according to your wish.
3. Then, navigate to the Control Centre on your Apple device and hit the Screen Mirroring icon. Then tap the name of your Fire TV from the list of available devices. Now, your Apple device will mirror your Fire TV.
How to AirPlay to Non-Compatible Fire TV
If you are using Fire TVs other than from the above models, then you can follow the method given below to complete the process. Start with connecting both your Fire TV and mobile to the same WiFi.
1. Begin the process by installing the AirScreen app on Fire TV. Then, launch the app and hit Confirm on the welcome screen. Scan the QR Code displayed on your TV screen using your iPhone or iPad camera.
2. Tap the Notifications on your device and navigate to AirScreen’s official website. You will be asked to select from the list of two options, entire Screen and In-app content.
3. If you have selected the entire screen option, then tap the Screen Mirroring icon from the control center. Select the Fire TV (Alpha-numeric code shown on the TV) to mirror the iPhone screen on your TV.
4. If you have gone with the other option, launch the app you want to cast on your Apple device and play the content. Then, hit the Cast icon on the screen and hit the name of your Fire TV to complete the process.
If the AirScreen app is not compatible with your TV, you can try some other mirroring apps like AirBeamTV Screen Mirroring, ApowerMirror, and DoCast on your device. You can use these AirPlay steps if you don’t want to block the storage space on Fire TV. Additionally, the AirPlay method can be used if you wish to watch your favorite content on a larger screen rather than a compact iPhone or Mac screen.
