How to Disable LG TV Demo Mode Without Remote
Suppose your TV remote is malfunctioning or not working at all, you can still control your TV and disable the Store mode using the LG TV Remote App called LG Thinq. To do so, follow these instructions step-by-step.
Note: Make sure to connect the LG TV to the Wifi that your phone is connected to.
- Install the LG ThinQ app (Play Store | App Store) on your mobile and sign in to the LG account you used to sign in to your TV.
- On the app’s home screen, tap the (+) icon and select the TV option on the Select a device to add screen.
- Now, choose your LG TV from the detected devices. Then, a code will appear on your TV screen.
- Enter the code on your app when prompted and tap the Next button for verification.
- Now, a virtual remote will open on your app. Use the navigation buttons on the remote to navigate to the Store Mode settings menu and disable it.
Note: To control your LG TV with the LG ThinQ app, you need webOS 3.5 or later. If you have an older webOS version, you can only turn Off the TV using the app.
Once you disable the Store Mode feature, you can go back to the normal use of your LG smart TV. Using in Home Mode is energy efficient and suitable for home use. You should only enable the Store Mode if you are a retailer and want to showcase the LG TV to your customers.
