1. Take out your Sony TV and place it flat on an even surface.

2. Attach Table Stands to your TV and fasten all the screws. If you wish to mount your TV to a wall, call Sony’s service men and get the work done.

3. Insert the TV’s power cable into the electrical socket and switch it on.

4. Then, insert the 2 AAA Batteries into your TV remote and press its Power button. This will turn on your Sony TV and take you to its Welcome screen.

How to Setup Sony Android TV

1. After getting to the welcome screen, select the Language of your choice. In our case, choose English.

2. If you wish to take the setup process to your Android Smartphone, click Continue. Or else, select Skip.

a) Setup with Android Smartphone

Have an Android Smartphone and a stable WIFI connection before getting into this process.

Connect your Sony TV to WIFI and link your mobile to the same network.
Launch the Google app on your Smartphone and enter Set up my device in the search tab.

After this, click Next and let it search for available devices.
Select your Sony Android TV from the search results. This will fetch you a Code.
Enter the Code on your TV and pair both devices. Now, all your Google account details get synced between both devices.
After this, follow the on-screen instructions and complete the remaining setup procedure.

b) Setup Directly on TV

If you have chosen to continue the procedure on your TV, follow the steps.

Select your WIFI network, enter its credentials, and sign in to it.
Accept all the terms and conditions, enable location services, and choose the country you live in.
Enter your Google account credentials and sign in to your account.
Then, choose the type of connection. Select either Aerial or Analogue.
Select the position of your TV. Click either Table-Top Stand or Wall Mount. Depending on the position, your TV will optimize the sound coming out from its speakers.

The setup process is completed after this, and you will be taken to the Home screen. From there, you can access Apps, Movies, Shows, etc.

How to Setup Sony Google TV

Setting up Sony Google TV differs slightly from Android’s. Here’s how we do it.

1. Choose your preferred Language and Country from the welcome screen.

2. Then, select Set up Google TV.

3. On the following screen, you can choose to start the setup procedure with the Google Home app. Or else, click Set up on TV instead.

a) Set Up with Google Home App

You require a smartphone and a WIFI connection to carry out this procedure.

Scan the QR Code with your smartphone and download the Google Home app on your Android mobile or iPhone.
Launch the app and sign in to your Google account. Then, connect your mobile and TV to the same WIFI.
Click on the + icon → Set Up Device and tap New Device.

Select Home and choose your Sony Google TV.
Next, select the Scan Code option and scan the QR code displayed on your TV.
Enter the Setup code and successfully pair both devices.
After this, follow the on-screen instructions from both devices and complete the setup procedure.

b) Set up Directly on TV

This procedure just requires your TV remote. After selecting Set up on TV instead, follow the below steps.

Choose a WIFI network, connect to it, and sign in to your Google account. Enter your account details using the on-screen keyboard.
After this, select the connection type. You can choose either HDMI or Coaxial port and set it up.
