Screen Mirroring is the easiest way to watch content on a big screen like a TV. The apps you use on your smartphone or the website you browse from your PC can easily be mirrored to your Insignia TV and viewed on a large screen. The following article details the procedure for doing this.

Prerequisites to Screen Mirror to Insignia TV

To screen mirror from devices like Smartphones and PCs, you need to enable certain features. If you are trying to mirror using Android/Windows devices, you need to enable screen mirroring on Insignia TV. If you are trying to mirror from an iPhone/Mac, enable AirPlay. Here’s how you do it.

Enable Screen Mirroring on Insignia TV

• Insignia Roku TV: Turn on Insignia TV and go to its Home → Settings → System → Screen mirroring → Select Prompt/Always allow.
• Insignia Fire TV: Home → Settings → Display & Audio → Enable Display Mirroring.

Enable AirPlay on Insignia TV

• Insignia Roku TV: Home → Settings → Apple AirPlay and HomeKit → Turn On AirPlay.
• Insignia Fire TV: Home Screen → Settings → Display & Sounds → Apple AirPlay & HomeKit → Enable AirPlay.

Once the prerequisites are over, connect Insignia TV to a WIFI and ensure the other device (Smartphone, PC) is on the same network.

Screen Mirror to Insignia TV from Android Smartphone

1. Swipe down on your smartphone and get to the Notification Panel.

2. Click on the Cast/Screen Cast option. In some devices, Smart View or any other name is given instead.

3. Select your Insignia TV from the list of available devices and connect with it.

4. Once done, you can see your Android phone’s screen displaying simultaneously on your Insignia TV.

Screen Mirror to Insignia TV from iPhone

1. Go to your iPhone’s Control Center.

2. Click on Screen Mirroring and select your Insignia Roku/Fire TV from the list. If you are pairing both devices for the first time, an AirPlay Code is required.

3. Once you are connected to it, you can start screen mirroring your favorite content.

Screen Mirror to Insignia TV from Windows PC

1. Click on the Windows + K shortcut. This will open the Cast pop-up.

2. Select your Insignia TV and pair both devices.
